How do I become a volunteer?

    1. Complete a Volunteer Application Form, including character references (Also available by mail or at the office). Please note that our screening process now includes a Police Records Check.

The Volunteer Services Coordinator will contact you to schedule an in-person interview if we are recruiting for the position you have applied for. The interview, which takes about 30 to 60 minutes, is an opportunity to explore your skills, interests and experience, and determine the most suitable assignment. If the coordinator has no assignments that are appropriate for you, you will be referred elsewhere.

Once your interview is completed and satisfactory reference checks occur, a conditional offer for the volunteer position is extended, and orientation will begin.

Complete the Police Records Check Consent Form, and provide a legible copy of photo identification.

    2. Once positive results from the Police Records Check are received, a firm volunteer position offer will be made.
If you are interested in more information about our volunteer program, we would love to hear from you.
